It's a *tiny* bit odd, but not really. Everyone has their quirks. Again, background can play a huge part. (As well as monkey see, monkey do.)
King had spent most of his life ignored chained to the back corner of a yard. He only had a few toys given to him specifically his whole life.
When i got him the only things he would play with were smooth balls (no tennis balls or such!!! "blah") , his plastic steak he had since he was a pup, and milk gallons. He LOVED milk gallons. He was pretty much like that the rest of his life. He'd play a little with other dogs, but he didn't know how to play most of their games. He did enjoy playing with cats though
They made great slobber toys. I can almost hear him laughing about it now. (See, you chase the cat. If it won't move nudge it. if it still won't move, swat it with your paw... gently or you'll break it. Chase it again, catch it, and slobber on it. They HATE drool. Ticked off kitties are sooooo funny!) Ok, so thinking about it he loved cats as toys even more than he liked milk gallons.

It's funny whenever someone comes over, they grab the tennis ball a throw it. Duke just looks at it and doesn't do anything. I say "He won't chase that. He only plays with cat toys." lol

Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.
