A Spring Afternoon in the Garden

Yesterday was a lovely afternoon so I thought I would do some work in the garden...with of course...my two assistants.

Eddie...keeping a sharp eye on my progress...

    such hard work!

And where is Edwina during all this hard work....

    In the herb garden...

    Nip party for one!

    Dear HH Lady Edwina Rose.
Although I will be at the Vets until Monday with my bad teeth, I will get a day pass tomorrow so we can share St Patricks Day ,and have our dinners catered by the Ships Inn.
We will have Irish Rarebit, Bacon Wrapprd Pork loin and Spuumoni Ice Cream, with Tony Romas Ribs.
    With Tennessee Smokey Sauce.
I would never let you down.
Your Juke Joint Joseph, at your service.

    Watching over them all.

Lady Edwina, we so rarely see you throwing caution to the winds! Did you enjoy your nip party, beautiful girl? Don't you feel just a little guilty partying while Eddie is hard at work?

In all fairness, our Lady Edwina has a very important job here. Somebody has to do a quality control check on the nip. All our kitties know how important it is for the nip to get just the right amount of rain, sunshine, shade, and nutrients from the soil so they can enjoy the ultimate nip experience. Lady Edwina has the awesome responsibility of telling Meowmie if the plants aren't up to standard. What hard working kitties, they both must be exhausted.

LOOK at your flowers! WE had a snow storm today, I'm coming over to YOUR house.

Eddie can show me how the garden work is done, and Edwina can host the nip party afterwards!

E&E's Secretary - your heart is here in Chicago and you are somewhere lovely! What a beautiful garden and I especially like your sweet cats IN the garden! Thank you for these!

Edwina I don't know many ladies who could get away with being publicly intoxicated but you have managed to pull it off well. To the casual eye you are only catching some rays.

Please tell your mama that she is missing all of the *fun* back east with our pre-spring snow! Personally, I would rather be in your garden with you and Eddie.

Eddie, you sure are keeping a close eye on your secretary's work in the garden. Such a job can last for a few hours, and of course, you had to find a soft bed of flowers to lay on. Isn't life hard!!

Edwina, I see you're attending to the herb garden, but it's very important to check the nip! What a party you had!

Kisses and scritchies to you both.

Eddie's vest seems to be upside down. Is that on purpose so he can't pull if off?
