Why we celebrate St. Paddy's day...

March 17 is a very special day around here....

It's one year since this happened--Delta was found just a few days shy of a month after he disappeared. This picture was taken maybe 10 minutes after I finally caught him.

This one was taken a couple hours ago. Delta has been in the house most of the day. I can't convince him he should go outside!

He's pretty happy hanging out with Sleet.

    Such a handsome devil!

Delta looks fantastic - so relaxed and so happy. I think I know why hanging around inside feels so good - there's no chance of accidently getting lost again Smart fella, if you ask me

And a very happy St. Pat's it was last year! I wonder if Delta has any idea how many people were cheering out loud when you posted that picture of him safe in your truck! He certainly looks a whole lot happier in this year's pictures Wow, that last picture of him is really wonderful - what a handsome guy!

And what could be a better reason to celebrate?
I know it must be incredibly special for you today. I know September 16th will always be special for me.

That's a great reason to celebrate! And I agree about him looking happy. He's grinning from ear to ear and no wonder! He's got one of the best PT homes there could ever be.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.
