    Maggie update

Well she was picked up at 12 this afternoon. She is doing well and sleeping alot. I'm angry though because Maggie is terrified of nail trims, she growls, bites, yelps and pees all over herself if you attempt to clip them yourself. Well the vet was supposed to do it while she was under anesthetic, he didn't And to top it off they charged it to our bill...

Glad to hear she's doing well!

Perhaps you can call the vet and tell them they forgot to clip her nails.. and then bring her back in a week or so when she's feeling better?

I'm going to do that tomorrow since they are closed now but it is impossible to clip her nails and I don't see how they can do it better than me. It wouldn't have been a problem if they did it during her surgery.

You'd be surprised, a lot of the time animals are a lot better when strangers are doing something to them when their owner isn't in sight. Kiara refuses to let me clip her nails but the vets can do them just fine and she's an angel once I'm not in her sight.

If it was me, I'd call them first thing when they open and protest about being billed for a service they didn't provide. They should either refund the cost of the nail trim, or credit it to your account.

BTW have you asked for any tranquilizers to give for doing nail trims, whether you do them yourself or have them do it? It might make Maggie a bit more relaxed so she can get her pedicure.
