    Lake Orion, MI Bark Park - Saturday, June 30th

    For Kia's 9th birthday, I'll be taking the pups over to Lake Orion's Bark Park. So far the weather looks like it'll be nice... 77 degrees and sunny.

    We're planning to get out there around Noon.

    If anyone would like to join us, please chime in.

    I wasn't really planning a large affair like in the past, but if enough people plan to show up, we could bring out the grill and a small cake.

    http://www.oakgov.com/parksrec/activities/dogpark.html

    FYI: They raised the rates of the daily pass for non-residents. $12 per car per day: Regular rate

    They've enlarged the Bark Park in the past year or so. It used to be only Area B. Now they've added A & C as well as two small dog areas. Other improvements include a larger parking lot and restrooms.

    Exclamation How to *find* Kia's Birfday Party @ Orion Oaks Dog Park

    Here's the close-in MapQuest map of the "Orion Oaks Park" >>>

    The Red Star is ON the Dog Park Entrance -
    off Joslyn Road; a bit south of W. Clarkston Road.

    It's about mid-way between Flint and Detroit;
    about 8-10 miles due north of downtown Pontiac, Michigan.

    Here's the directions from Interstate 75:

    1) Get off I-75 at: the JOSLYN RD exit- EXIT 83.

    2) Turn NORTH on Joslyn Road & drive 4.2 miles on Joslyn.

    3) Dog Park Entrance is on the LEFT (west) side of the road.

    If you get to W. Clarkston Rd or pass an Elementary School
    on the right - you went a bit too far.

    You CAN park in the Elementary School Lot - the NEW Bark Park Entrance
    is just across the road from the school.

    If you want Driving Directions from MapQuest;
    go to http://www.MapQuest.com and enter
    [ 1255 Joslyn Rd ]
    [ Lake Orion MI 48360 ]

    After you get the Map; ask for "Driving Directions" and
    enter your starting address.

    Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.

    Wish we could be there! Tell Kia to jump off the dock a few times in honor of Kiara and I.

    Well, I was thinking about just bringing Sir HAL this time...but my family is going up north for the weekend and taking the other three so I might drag the old fart along just so she gets a chance to get out of the house.

    I was discussing this with S.O. They are HIS plans and I'm not going with him. If anyone anywhere near me is going and willing to pick me up I could attend.

    I'm wondering who all is going to this. I'm a bit tempted to try and make the trip. It looks to be a 4 1/2 - 5 hour trip. It would be a good way to take up a Saturday instead of sitting home getting even more depressed. I can't promise anything though. These days it all depends on my moods and if I can drag myself out of bed. Let me know who is going.

    Ohhh Robin, that would be FANTASTIC! So far it's just me and Kimmy (and Chipper, Jack, Shadow and the birthday girl of course).

    So far it's myself, Andy, Ashley, and my two sister's and their pups. Amy (Cincy's Mom) and Phesina are a maybe and crow_noir might make it if she can get a ride.

    Andy's parents who live nearby have offered to cook out.

    Robin, it would be so wonderful to see you again. *HUGS*
