It's a dummy key that enables an intruder to unlock any cylinder lock.

Never heard of those before. But I am intrigued by the "biometric keys!" Alright, the price is high, but the very technology is . . . wow!

Our local news did a reportive story on bump keys a few weeks ago.
They even went as far as buying a complete set and training video. They tested it out on a few houses.
With a bit of practice they found it worked on a fair amount of locks.
S.O. and I've been considering biometric locks for the past couple years... We just don't have the funds though. LOL.

Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.
Hmm... round here, there is a problem with bump-keying, but it doesn't require any special internet kit. You just get random keys, or even the generic ones like you see at the stores waiting to be cut, then 'bump' the back with something hard until it is FORCED into the lock. Once it is forced, it usually fits the grooves well enough to turn the lock.
Yeah, I had to try it for myself, and it worked more often than not.
I saw an episode of Discovery Channel's "It Takes a Thief" where they used one of those. Also read about it on Snopes.
