I just thought I'd let you all know that Piper has found a new home. She's been there for about a week now. For those of you who didn't know, when we took her in we knew we probably weren't going to keep her/couldn't keep her (mainly because Morgan can be pretty rough with small dogs, but we also didn't really want another dog this year) but wanted to get her out of the awful situation that she was in. So, we "fostered" her for a few months, and got her trained, used to people/socialized, etc. She's now living with a vet tech. (and family) as well as two other mini Dachshunds. We've gotten a couple of updates and apparently she's doing extremely well and absolutely adores their one Dachsie - they (the new family) said that he and Piper her almost inseparable. They said she fit in right away and acted as if she'd known the entire family all of her life, which is amazing as she's very rarely like that with anybody. Anyway, I just thought I'd give you guys an update on her.
