We live in an apartment, but this is our back yard.

We don't have our own yard, but our apartment complex is on the river. It is a sort of "communal backyard" for those of us that live here. The dogs love it!

There is a small creek that Kia plays in by my apartment. It's great for cooling off on those hot days.

Jake looks like a typical Golden rescueing sticks from floating in the water! LOL Did Addie ever warm up to going in past her feet?

Addie will never do more than wade. If there are other dogs swimming, she will occasionally go in to the point where the water almost touches her belly. I am actually very excited that Addie will get in the water at all. She used to frantically run away from every bitty wave to avoid getting her feet wet (eek! ).

Jake LOVES to swim. He will run and jump in the water and look back at me to throw him a stick. He even trys to swim in those little plastic baby pools. He lays down and starts paddling at the six-inch deep water. Jake is Golden Retriever all the way.

Awww...They are really cute!

I am amazed that dogs like to swim so much !!! Anybody has any idea why ??? I only have a cat (hates water !!) and a rabbit !
