    Baby duck

My brother's girlfriend found a baby duck in the city. He is soo cute and he loves people, he will even fall asleep in your hand! Sadly, he has to go to the wildlife refuge, he is gone tommorow.
    Here are some pics.

Thanks! Right now they cant decide if they are going to give him to the wildlife refuge or keep him. They really like him and he really likes them. They do not want to give him away, but their mom says it would be for the best.

How adorable! I just love him! I once baby sat a baby duckling. My brotehrs friend was going to tie an egagment ring to its neck and hand the duck to her and then get down on one knee and purpose. It was so sweet. He said the duck showed his faitfullneed towards her. She has always wanted a duck since she was littel to. And she was so exited. I am happy to report they will be married in 4 months . They wanted to wait till the duck as big enoug ht owalk the ring down the ile (sp) I guess the duck did it! LOL

    OMG, he is sooooooooooooooo cuuuuute!!!!!!!

I also think the best thing would be to give him to the wildlife refuge... They will know what's best for him there and have other ducks he can play with.

Please sign my guestbook if you have the time

aw , give that sweetie a great hug from me !!!!!!!!!!!

Does your brothers girlfriend have a yard ?? If not , the duck won't stay , and even be unlucky ...

We have a lot of wild ducks here (about 50 !!) ; our neighbour has a huge garden , with a natural brook in it . so every year lots of wild ducks come and stay there during at least 8 months ! They travel southwards as it gets colder here !

    Pascal the duckling

Hey everyone!!! I'm the lucky owner of that adorable duck!! He is either a baby mallard or a baby wood duck. He has claws which lead us to believe he is a wood duck, but he LOVES to swim so we think he's a mallard. If anyone has any information on which one he might be, post it!!
His name is Pascal (Pass-CAL<like CALifornia>) and we think he is about 2 weeks old. He is the sweetest duck! He loves to cuddle and preen and chirp (he doesn't quite have a "quack" yet) and he'll follow anyone in the family around as if we're his mother. He'll even follow my black lab, Ernie, around (go here to meet ernie: http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthre...ght=meet+ernie)!!! They are quite the pair. Ernie is very gentle with Pascal. He lets the baby duck cuddle with him and peck at his fur.
Today we had a big event with Pascal. We called it... "The Launching of the Duck!" There were four people in the pool for extra safety precautions and Pascal came in and swam with us!!! He was so cute. He would dive under the water like a penguin. He pecked at the little bugs on the surface. He really was having a grand time. Poor Ernie was jealous cause he's not allowed in the pool.
It looks as though we're going to keep Pascal. We have a nice big yard, and we even have a big big pond in the backyard where Pascal might be able to meet some duck friends. In the Winter we can keep him in the finished basement. It'll be like his own little ducky apartment!!
Thanks for all your responses to Pascal. Keep them coming!
