    Ice Skating Borzois

Its 5 F today, and at least the dogs are getting use to this ice. Hottie is 94 pounds, Zubin 110, Galina at 92 pounds- the ice is so bad they are walking on top of it VERY CAREFULLY.. They all look depressed with heads down- and although love the snow- this ice HAS GOT TO GO! The first two days I took them out two at a time on a flexi- now they know to stay up top, and just try to walk-.. Hottie is coping with it- and feels more dignified being off leash. He has a strong sense of self- something that is respected at all times.. ( He also speaks english- alias he can understand me in full sentences verses the other 3..) Femka would not be taped- she took two steps out- did her stuff and man she says " I am back in the house.. Obviously- not a happy group .. View My Video View My Video View My Video
Its a far cry from the week before in the snow.. View My Video

AND sulking!! Day 3 of no running is catching up with the pups- my great room area has turned into puppy play. I dont blame them- they are use to at least 2 runs ( although short sometimes) but they are use to it.. They do look pitiful- never saw zubin walk with his head down before..

Aw, poor babies! I guess too much snow can be a bad thing when you're a borzoi! Give them a hug from me!

And by the way, your accent is ace

LOL! I agree, Zara! I was just thinking what an awesome accent.

Those poor pups. Like I said on Gabbly, Femka was probably the smart one to run out, do her thing and go back in. Ice would not feel good on the bare feet.

lolll- glad you liked my accent too, but its southern- with fringes-... Poor guys- I felt sooooo sorry for them.. The snow was deep enough they could not sniff the grass, and the ice thick enough they couldnt fine the grass- nor how to walk!
