Drake Injures Paw :(

Andrew and Drake had their Dog and Owner Race today and finished 1st place despite Drake's injury. They finished 15 minutes before the next team did.

On the last part of the race, the hike, Andrew realized Drake was limping. He stopped and checked it out and Drake must have stepped on a piece of glass and cut his paw pad. Drake could still walk, but Andrew was worried about him, so he carried him for the remaining 0.25 miles! All 95 lbs of the Drakerman!

Andrew and Draker crossed the finish line and the judges were debating where Drake and Andrew really won the race since Andrew carried Drake for a little bit. Andrew didn't care, he took Drake to vet ASAP. They couldn't do much to it, but cleaned it up and banadaged his paw.

They called Andrew and said they decided that my boys did finish the race and the race was about the companionship of man and dog and that helping eachother was part of being best buds!

Hurray for Andrew and Draker! I will get to see them both tomorrow.
