I was heading out last night for a rare night out, and got a call shortly before I left. A woman fairly nearby had rescued a VERY pregnant kitty off the bitter cold streets. "Kim" said she had seen the cat outside eating bones and whatever other garbage she could find and was able to lure her in after a few days. The little kitty is sooo sweet, and did nothing to deserve being thrown away like yesterdays trash! She took the kitty to a local shelter and they did a blood test and it came up a weak positive for FeLV.
They wanted to euthanise the cat on the spot, but Kim said no and took her home. That's where I came in...via the "grapevine". Kim couldn't keep the kitty, so she's here, and looks to be due any minute.
Please say some prayers that she'll have an easy delivery, and that when she goes in for the next FeLV test, that will be sent out to a lab (brain fart on the name of the test) that she'll be negative. This little cat is just the sweetest dear.
