Kia & Chipper ~ Fun in the snow

Spent the weekend at my parent's house watching my sister's dog, Sasha. On Superbowl Sunday, my other sister brought over her dog, Seamus. Chipper and Seamus clashed a few times, but overall they all played well.

It was so cold that when they'd bury their faces in the snow, their fur and whiskers would frost over. We spent no more than 15 minutes at a time outdoors.

Chipper started his first day of Doggy Day Care today. He had his tail tucked when they led him back to the kennels. He probably thinks I abandoned him. Poor guy. I felt like a mom dropping her kid off to school. I started to get teary eyed.

    On to photos...

    Saturday

Kia, Sasha, and Chipper (we had Chipper on the tie out at first till we were sure he would recall)

OH WHAT FUN!!!!! Such great pictures, Kimmy! I am so jealous of all of that snow. We finally got a bit last week, but it had melted by noon.

Sasha's icy nose gave me the sssshhhhivers! LOVE the sleep-eyed Kia ... too funny.

Great series of shots you got there. I have as much fun watching
dogs romp in the snow as they do playing around in it. I'm so glad they all
    had a great time.

Oh,is this Chipper's first time at day care? How did he do?

Great pictures! It's fun to see them all running around in the snow. You only stayed out for 15 min. at a time? From those frosty faces, it looks like they've been out for hours! Kia's got a great smile, awake, asleep, & upside down! Star & Sherm send wooooos.

Thanks everyone! I don't think I could of been out for longer than 15 minutes even if I wanted too. My shutter finger even though gloved, was soon numb. I'm amazed the camera didn't just shut down from the cold.

The Day Care Manager said he was just perfect! He was a little nervous and anxious at first, but they said once he realized he was there to play, he soon warmed up and was going crazy. They have a quiet time kennel and they said not many stay quiet, but he just laid right down and napped.

He made friends with a German Shorthair Pointer and an English Springer. The employees said they were having a blast chasing each other in the yard.

He's crashed out right now. I think Kia is pretty happy.

I'll be taking him back on Thursday and I'm pretty sure this will be a regular thing.

Aww, good to hear he did well. He probably didn't know what he
was in for when he first showed up. I'm glad he had a good experience.

Kia probably liked the little break herself.

Great pictures Kimmy! I love watching dogs play in the snow! I can imagine that everyone crashed after coming inside. The picture of Kia smiling in her sleep is a hoot! It looks like Kia and Chipper are doing very well together. It's so good to see him happy and well.

    Great pictures, Kimmy!

I have to say, I quite like Kia's floppy-eared looked. She is so cute.
LOVE the fictures of the frosted-faces. I'm so jealous of that snow!
