Nebo and Keva at Soldier Hollow (3 pics)

We went on a drive today and this is where we ended up. The last time I was here was in 2002 for the Winter Olympics, the only event I went to (cross-country skiing). They were having some sort of event there, first a team from China came up to pet the dogs, then a Russian team came over after that. I couldn't understand their languages but they were very nice people and they all loved Nebo and Keva.

Here's a few pics...Sydney came too, but she wanted to stay in the warm car, she's not a big fan of snow, so she's not in the pics. Here's the huskies watching some skiers

They also hold sheepdog trials there on Labor Day, I think I'll try to go this year, it would be interesting to watch. Oh, and just a reminder, don't forget to vote in this contest http://www.petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=121132

Oh what cute Husky butts! LOVE the second one. I am so incredibly jealous of that snow.

I have seen picture of Nebo in different canyons off leash, is he usually good off leash? I am just wondering because he's a husky.

Thanks everyone! Nebo has never been off-leash in a canyon, you may have seen pics of him with a retractable leash so its not as noticeable in pictures. I've never actually let him off-leash (besides in a fenced area of course), although he has a fairly good recall at home in the yard, I know if he saw a squirrel/rabbit/etc. he'd be gone.

Oh, I was just wondering. I was figuring you had him on a leash of some kind, though.

Sorry if my reply came across rude? Didn't mean to... I wish he was good off-leash, its going to be interesting trying to hike with two bigger dogs with leashes, I don't mind if they drag me up the mountain, but I don't want them to drag me down it!

oh no! It didn't come across as rude at all. I knew what you meant and you weren't rude at all.

Amy, Nebo and Keva look just beautiful posing as Olympic Mascots.
Don't you think that the mascot for the next Winter Olympics should be a husky?
