rest well molly ivins and thanks for the laughter

    from yahoo news

Syndicated columnist Molly Ivins dies AUSTIN, Texas - Best-selling author and columnist Molly Ivins, the sharp-witted liberal who skewered the political establishment and referred to President Bush as "Shrub," died Wednesday after a long battle with breast cancer. She was 62.

David Pasztor, managing editor of the Texas Observer, confirmed her death.

The writer, who made a living poking fun at Texas politicians, whether they were in her home base of Austin or the White House, revealed in early 2006 that she was being treated for breast cancer for the third time.

Oh! I hadn't heard. Thank Molly for all the joy and laughter.
Can you imagine all the fun she and Ann Richards are having getting all caught up?

A great loss. I have a collection of her books and my parents would send me her column from their local newspaper. She was funny and insightful and honest.

    Godspeed Molly....

I heard this on the news last night & I was brokenhearted. She was
a hero to me.ABC news had a story on her this morning.

I know she had a recurrance of breast cancer & I think it was IBC, a very
aggressive form of this disease.I look forward to meeting her & Ann Richards
    in heaven.

No, not suppose to be funny, is funny.

This is a memorial thread to a political commentator who died too young.

I assume you have read some of her work and know the context?
