Is it too late to dry them out if the edges have started to turn brown? I got some roses for my birthday from my boyfriend, and I would like to dry one or two out. How do you do it, just hang them upside down? Is it already too late?

If you hang them upside down in a dark, dry place, they should do okay ... a closet is often good. For best results, there's a sand-like substance that people use, but the flowers should be at peak for that.
Another option is pressing some of the petals - just put them in a heavy book and leave them for a few weeks - they'll end up dry, flat but usually keep their color just fine, and you can arrange them nicely on a piece of paper for a keepsake.
I've Been Frosted
I tried doing that but it was in a light place in the kitchen and since the light was always on, my rose turned purple.and brown which looked weird. I wanted it to be brownish black. I'll try what Karen said.
