    Camera help

We want to buy my mom a new digital camera for Christmas. We want something that takes decent quality pictures and is fairly simple to use.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what are the best kinds for $150 or less?

    Thank you!

This seems to be around what you're looking for.

You can never go wrong with a Canon. They are very user-friendly, high quality, and worth every penny. I personally would go for one of the newer models but this one is in your price range.

You can find other stores to buy it from here:

I wanted to get my niece a camera in the same price range and I ended up with the Canon...I think the same one Kay posted. She seems to be very happy with it.

I say go with the Canon A530. Can be very automatic, or very manual. Best in it's class.

Well we decided to get the Canon A530. I think my mom will enjoy it- the only problem is she'll need more hard drive space now on her old computer to store all the pictures! Thanks for your help everyone!

I agree with the others. Canon's take nice pictures. My dad has a simple Olympus (it's pretty old) and it takes nice pictures.
