    Reaction to John's birthday!

This was Fister's first reaction to John's birthday, today!

But then he regretted, and decided to help John with his work instead!

Happy Birthday to John! Perhaps if Fister can figure out some way John's birthday benefits HIM he will be more enthusiastic!

Goodness, Fister what big teeth you have!! I almost thought you were laughing because it was John's birthday. But, since the day was not about you, you decided to be bored with the whole thing, didn't you? I'm glad you decided to be good and help John with his work. I'm sure he did a much better job with your input. (HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN)

Happy Birthday John! And thanks for taking so many great pictures of Fister. Looks like his teeth are pretty clean in that first pic. I can see Fister really likes helping his dad work. Such helpful kitties. John, Tubby sends head bumpies for your birthday and Peanut sends chin scritch.....er....smoochies since you probably wouldn't appreciate the chin scritchies.

    John here,

....... Amazing, none of you have noticed that Fister is missing his two lower teeth!

But thanks for all your birthday greetings, as I have always said, you don't realise how old you are until you wake up the next day.

Have to admit I missed that one. How did he loose them? I'm just curious because Peanut lost one of her "fangs" a few years back. Don't know exactly how it happened, but Tubby showed up with a big cut on his forehead, and Peanut was missing a tooth so I drew some conclusions on what all the racket was about the night before.

Fister was about one year old when he first started coming up in our apartment. There was NO way we could lift him, bur as you know, he's now sleeping with us in bed and have become very tame.

Anyway, we think that he broke one of his teeth (in the top) when he was a tiny kitten. Well, after we managed to get closer, we noticed he had very bad breath and a little while later he was in a fight with a stray cat in the backyard. We could see his mouth was hurting, so we took him to vet and he discovered that one tooth had come loose and had to come out.

When we came a few hours later to get him, he had had a good cleaning and TWO teeth out. It was obviously neccesary. So now, he's left with 1 1/2 teeth + all the small ones. He's eating well and doesn't seen to be bothered.

Yeah, Peanut too. The only time I notice is sometimes when she meows or yawns real big, as she's closing her mouth she must kind of bite on her lip on that side so she has to readjust her whiskers a little to completely close her mouth, but other than that she never skipped a beat. Tubby's head took about a week to heal though.
