    Exercise Pen ideas

I recently bought an ExPen for my 2 puppies for when I am not home. There is a tarp-like sheet underneath the pen to prevent any soiling of the carpet. The first day, Maggie (3mos) got out...I assuming the tarp bunched up (by the dogs) and lifted the pen and she was small enough to crawl out. Does anyone have any ideas how to keep the pen from lifting up so that the dogs can't escape? Thanks.

Do you keep the pen inside or outside? If outside then use the stakes. If inside maybe tie some weights on it? Just some suggestins

I had to quit using the X-pen with Dusty at 4 months old. He was climbing over the top! I was completely baffled on how he was getting out until I put him in there when I was cooking and didn't want him getting burned. Next thing I knew he was half way over the top!!!

Are you sure your pup is going under and not climbing over top?

that is sooo funny cause the first time I put them in the pen for over 2 hrs, Maggie got out and I had no idea how. Then I put them in while I was at home and saw her about to go over the top!!!

Anyway, now I bought a top for the expen and they can't climb out.

I guess you could try using something heavy to hold it down, that smart little pup will probably just figure out how to get out of that too.
