    Hurricane Peanut

Things were neat and orderly and all was quiet on the home front yesterday when all of a sudden the winds picked up and the destruction began.

There was litter in front of the box. There was litter behind the box. There was litter litter-ally (pun intended ) everywhere! Even the seas erupted and spewed water everywhere! Notice the litter even ended up at the bottom of the seas!

Seeing as how the home front needs to be maintained for another week or two, the insurance company will have to kick in and clean up after the storm. There have been several tropical storms of late, so they're getting rather tired of having to do all this cleanup. They have to ask, can something this sweet actually cause such destruction?

Oh no! How awful! Where can I make my donation towards the clean-up costs of hurricane Peanut? Such a sad event.

What is it about those tortie-calico girls? I call mine my little Mitzi Mess Maker - she leaves sand dunes everywhere! I feel your pain! and yes, something that cute can be that destructive! Do not be deceived by all that cuteness

I think that Sunami Scrappy 2, and Tropical Depression JJJ3 could compete with Hurricane Peanut in terms of destruction.

I wrote a Boots Tail about this problem - but can't find the darn thread.

    Long Tail short:
Boots "invites" a lil Mouse Buddy in to "play" every so often.
After chasing around the house - obvious by the amout of disturbed, tipped-over,
and otherwise re-located objects throughout the house -
they always seem to wind up in the Bathroom ...

and play "Tag" in, over, around, and often UNDER the Kat's Sandy Box!

I should start keeping a shovel in the closet.

What a great story and cute photo of the sleeping destructive force! In case you were considering a covered / hooded litter box, be fore warned that only limits the sand storm, as it all gets directed out the one opening. I sometimes think they are digging to "China" in there! I finally set up a battery powered hand held vacuum close to the litter box to deal with these quick clean ups; I empty it right back into the box . . . .

Oh wow. Where is FEMA when you need them? and no way could
that sweet baby cause this destruction. Hi Peanut.

Ha-Ha I'm glad to see she still has enough spunk in her to make a mess! Love you Peanut!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

Must have been a successful trip to the litter box! That's funny, some cats are really enthusiastic about scratching and scratching and digging and flinging litter; others give it a perfunctory swat and that's it.

She sure is a messy little girl!
