Your beautiful Bandit touched my heart and yes made me cry as well. My daughter has a cockatiel and I have learned how very special our feathered friends can be. Even though Bandits life was short it was a happy and loved life, which is all anyone can ask for. Those of us left behind are the lonely. Once I lose a pet I always adopt a new one. I feel that by helping another animal I am honoring my lost pet by saving another live. Bandit was a very lucky bird to have such a loving life. I am sure there are many happy, silly, funny memories you have to share with family and friends but mostly with yourself remembering him in quite moments. Take care.

Tears are falling as I read your Mommy's heartfelt words, dear Bandit. What a beautiful, loving tribute she was written to her best, most beloved feathered friend. We are honored to have you as our very special Sunday honoree, Bandit. My heart aches for your Mom as I know the great pain and sadness she is still experiencing and the strength it took for her to write those words. But we thank her for sharing with us your touching story, the cherished times you two shared. You were taken from this earth, from your Mommy long before your time dear Bandit but what a loving, everlasting legacy of love you have left behind. I hope the precious memories she holds in her heart will comfort her until that blessed and happy day you and she are reunited. Until then, soar high, healthy and whole once more at the Rainbow Bridge, beautiful feathered angel Bandit.

Dearest Bandit...farewell oh beautiful one. if you see my budgie (Buddy) in Heaven, say hello from me!!! ....My deepest and sincerest thoughts are with you at the loss of your much loved bird...I so empathise with your shock loss ..my budgie (Buddy) died suddenly as well and as frantic as I was in trying to care and rescue him, it just could'nt be done...I read your tender, heartfelt story and the flood of memories came back at my bird fading away and the helplessness of not being able to make him better...I so feel your loss, and know that it will get better as time passes on. Such a beautiful creature, whose life here on earth was cut short and caused tears to fall . . . You have left quite an imprint on those that love you, Bandit, and I hope you can celebrate your POTD honour at the Rainbow Bridge by taking flight and knowing that you touched someone's life so poignantly, darling Bandit!
