Bless the donor who made this possible. I will DEFINITELY keep posts up on this one! I just can't comprehend who would do this and why....

$1,000 reward in case of drowned terrier in Edmonton
Last Updated: Friday, September 8, 2006 | 2:01 PM MT
    CBC News

An anonymous donor has offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to a charge in the case of a small tan terrier found dead inside a pillowcase.

The pillowcase was weighted down with a rock and thrown into a man-made lake in one of Edmonton's new suburbs in the west end, near 205 Street and 62 Avenue.

People walking their dogs around the lake found the drowned terrier on Sunday.

"There was some blood around the face of the dog as well, so the dog definitely didn't die peacefully and painlessly," said Diane Shannon, spokeswoman for the Edmonton Humane Society.

The society is urging pet owners to call in to discuss their options if they can no longer look after the animals.

My heart goes out to the little terrier. RIP sweet little pup.

Thanks for keeping us updated on the story. I hope the person/people are caught. What a waste of space they are. Just die already and let the good people & animals of this earth live in peace.

What is wrong with People !!!! Grrrrrr !

    RIP sweet, small one.

Now, lets all discuss punishment for the crime. Moosmom have made a suggestion that has been seconded by wenisrubber. Zoey has also made a suggestion. Anyone else got ideas?

My suggestion is burning at the PT stake. ( a stake made especially for animal abusers. )

This is so sad! R.I.P. little pup I hope with every nerve in my body that they find whatever monster did this!

And once they do find him, I would like for someone to put him in a pillowcase, weighed down with some rocks/bricks and drop him into the pond and see how he likes it!
