    Rock Sulphur

Does anyone use this for their dogs? Is it harmful if its eaten by the dogs? My dog gets so hot and pants all day even with the fan on shes still very hot..I've heard its good for cooling them down?

I've heard it cools down the dog from the inside, you leave it in their waterbowl until it goes yellow then take it out from what I've heard of it.. I was just wondering if anyone think it works.. Its meant to replace the salts and minerals in water which it loses when it gets hot?

I've been in rescue and volunteer at the local shelter in South Carolina for 10 years and have never heard of this. If it was safe and worked, the shelter would love to use it! The dogs are housed outside and S.C. can get really hot.

I'd be afraid to try it. The panting is how she copes. Just be sure she has plenty of water and maybe a frozen soda bottle to lay next to.
