    Random cottage pictures...

Are you sick of my cottage pictures yet? I've been away for the last while but here are the latest. If you want to see Nakita, there's a new thread in Cat General.

You can tell we're half way through the summer....plants are starting to go to seed.

I laughed at these two pics. The first looks like nature's version of earrings and the second looks like the flower is having a bad hair day!

    Heads?

    or tails??

    Headless moth!!

This was the hardest picture to take since it was really windy, the dragonfly barely landed for a second and I was being bitten by mosquitoes!! So I think I have an excuse on why it's not clear.

    continued....

The view off my deck at the cottage. The morning reflection created the cool effect of two stars.

Black and white picture of my grandfather's rowboat.

Is there no end to the talented photographers we have on PT?
Very nice! That dragonfly is awsome! I like the black & white, too.

Reminds me of Muskoka, or Cottage Country (Orillia, Parry Sound).

    Makes me nostalgic!

Where is the schoolhouse? Just wondering if this is around my old stomping grounds!

(Orillia, Thornbury, Collingwood, Niagara Falls...cousin lived in Huntsville)

Close...it's Haliburton (just northeast of Orillia)

If you're referring to my profile where I mention schoolhouse, it's just outside of Toronto.

These are beautiful! The red coloring on the dragonfly with the light colored background just makes it very striking and perfect. You have a wonderful eye!

I liked the contrast as well, but wish I had my tripod! I would like the picture to be more clear but my camera doesn't have image stabilization and I was fighting various elements.

    Thanks for your comments everyone!
