Cassidy was a throw away girl well over a year ago. She was wearing a filthy green flea collar and struggling to survive in a scrap metal yard, and tomato company area, very close to busy train tracks. It took multiple trips in order to assess how many kittens she had hiding in the scrap heap. I caught 2 of her 5 little babies, then decided it best to get mama next and use her to lure out the remaining 3 kittens. It took 3 more days to get all the babies! Poor sweet Cassidy was caked with garbage, and very anemic and emaciated, but had done well caring for her kittens against such horrible odds. A few weeks later when she was stronger, she went in for her spay etc. and got a clean bill of health! WHEWW! I took these pictures of the weary little mama the day I finally got the entire family. Her kittens are in another foster home being socialized (I think a few got adopted already) and Cassidy cleaned up and filled out beautifully. She's such a silly girl and very kittenish now that she's in a house. I need to take more pics of her before she goes to another rescuers home where she will eventually get a forever home.
She was sooo horrible smelling and sticky, and wanted to be kissed, but that took a while before she was clean enough to kiss. She was in too weak a state to endure a bath. But she's turned into such a doll and gets lots of kisses.
I have been going like a nut for so long, I only had time to snap a few pics of Miss Silly Cassidilly! And not enough of her kittens.

I have to get pictures of Cassidy now before she heads off into the big wide world (of indoor life). She looks like a totally differnt kitty now.
