Lapd Cop Shot...

By his three year old son.

He was off duty, driving his truck.

His three year old picked up one of two guns in the cab and shot him in the back.

It went thru his chest and he managed to stop the car and get help from someone on the street.

The kid was not in a carseat or buckled in.

Bratton, the head of the LAPD was waffling about charging the cop with any crime....

You or me?

We'd have our names, pic and a whole laundry list of charges pasted all over the media...

Sheesh, talk about double standards..

What was he doing with loaded weapons where a three-year-old could get them?

I grew up in a house with guns. My grandfather was a police chief, my dad was small arms repair (read that guns) in the Army, and none of us ever were hurt by, or hurt anyone else with, any of the family weapons. We were taught to respect them as weapons, never treat them as toys, never to point one at anyone, even if you *knew* it wasn't loaded, etc. And they were NOT kept where a three-year-old could get at them.
