    Catnip safe for 9 1/2 week old kitten?

    As the title suggests, I was wondering if catnip, whether the powdered flakes or in a toy, was safe for a young kitten. Just...... Making sure.....

    I'm pretty sure that catnip is safe for all ages, but I think cats have to be a few months old before catnip has any effect on them. The toys should be fine.

    I dont think that a kitten will react to Cat Nip either.
    I think they have to be a bit older, to get high.
    We all love your Kitten!
    She looks so much like Pouncer Angel when she was young.

    They will be fine, but probably will not react to the catnip.

    Josie is just now starting to react to catnip and she is almost 3 years old!

    Kittens need to be a minimum of 4 months before they will *maybe* have any reaction to catnip but it is safe for all ages. It's intergrated into so many toys now that it is hard to avoid it.
