How often do you bathe your dog/s?

...and what sort of shampoo do you use?

My dogs get a bath every 2-3 weeks, though, they just had a bath this morning after going 4 weeks without one...I'll never let them go that long again. As far as shampoo & conditioner goes, I usually just use Lambert Kay Fresh & Clean because it works well, smells nice, is easily found, and not too expensive. I'm constantly looking for better shampoos though because as much as I like this one, I'm sure there are better.

Now that we have a pool Nova only needs to be bathed about once a month, whereas before it was once a week. The baths and pool have helped calm down her allergies. I wash her in an aloe and oatmeal shampoo.

The other three get bathed two or three times a year. I wash them in the Furminator shampoo and conditioner for a couple reasons. It smells incredibly good and doesn't act up my allergies, whereas most scented shampoos do. It also makes their fur feel really soft for a few days, Mandy's especially.

Add some salmon oil to her diet to get rid of the dry skin

whenever needed. Happy and Misty is almost never, BCs have teflon coats, they run and roll in mud and as soon as the water drys the muds fall off and they look like new lol if they get in the creek(which is VERY stinky) no problem there either, the smell vannishes with the dirt. Blair was bathed almost every day when we let his hair get long, it was getting really annoying because EVERYTHING stuck to it and got tangled in it, every day we brushed him and pulled branches out of his coat. finally we got fed up and cut it off lol and we totally shave his paws, we call then poodle feet Ripley and Perky get bathes when my mom chooses to given then bathes, which is usually only when they have a freestyle preformance to do.

I give all my dogs a bath (well most of the time Eric does it, I blow-dry and comb) about every 3 weeks to once a month or more if they got into something smelly. We have 2 kinds of shampoos we use, one is lavendar scented and one smells like cedar. They smell so good afterwards!

Well, I would like to find a gentle shampoo. Any good recommendations? I plan on bathing my pup every couple of weeks or so, experimenting to see what amount of time is best for him.

My cats get bathed once a week. I use Aussie moisture shampoo and conditioner.

I didn't vote, because I bathe Finn less than once a month, but, more than twice a year. For the most part, he doesn't seem to ever have an odor, so, I don't bathe him often at all. I do clean his ears out when needed, though. Or if he gets extremely dirty and swimming doesn't wash him off. I usually can just hose him off at the dog park if that's where's he's gotten muddy or let him swim in the lake if he's gotten muddy playing on shore.

Honestly I didn't vote because it all depends.

With Huney and Roxey it's usually 2-3x's/yr. They get their bath at the groomers unless they happened to get into something very stinky and then and only then do I bath them. I keep them brushed on a regular basis so I'm sure that helps.
Now Bon on the other hand hasn't had a bath since last March when Amy and Kay were here But seriously he really doesn't need it. He goes out in the rain and gets soaked and when he comes in the house I towel him (and the girls) off. Guess that's what keeps him from being stinky and dirty.
It's like they get a bath every time it rains

Oh and I do have the Lambert and Kay Oatmeal Shampoo and Conditioner that we use when/if we have to.

3-4x per year. Autumn is a pretty smell free dog, but she does like to roll outside and get dirty and then she get's a bath. I use Pet's Best Friend shampoo, its cheaper but the smell stays longer. That's what I don't like about some of the fancy shampoos is that once you rinse the dog off the smell goes with it.
