I voted NO! but I have let them if we are going SLOW down a road. I refuse to let them if we are going a "normal" speed. Too dangerous.

No, I don't let them. I voted for the "No way, it's too dangerous". I don't think it's safe at all for them.

No, I don't wind her window down, and she usually lays down and falls asleep anyway.

the only windows that roll down are the drivers and passanger seats, the back windows just flip out a crack. how much I roll the window down depends on which dogs are with me. Perky could not care less about windows, Blair is crated in the van just because he cant cope without his crate, he gets panicked and nervous if his kennel is not there for him to hide in. Happy sticks her head out the window, I dont worry about her jumping out because well..its Happy, she is not the jumping sort unless she REALLY wants to come someplace with me. Misty I only roll the window down enugh for her to stick her nose out, and same for Ripley.

In the neighborhood, I will put the windows down far enough they can smell the fresh air. Once we are out on busy streets/the highway, windows go up. I generally prefer a/c anyway.

The only time I let my babies put their heads out the window is when I'm not driving , which is very rare, and I'm holding them. We have to be in the neighborhood or it doesn't happen. Anything can happen. My cousin lost his dog by it jumping out of the window. He was in the country visiting his parents. He was getting ready to leave, had the window down to tell them goodbye and Bubua, who was in his Daddy's lap, got excited and jumped out the window, Bubua had never tried to jump out before. His Daddy accidently ran him over. This happened three years ago and my cousin is still heartbroken. So if I don't have a firm hold on their collar they don't do it. If I'm alone with them they have the window on a small crack. If they want fresh air they can get it when we get out of the truck at home. Sorry, I may sound mean but, after Bubua I'm not taking chances with my babies. BTW, Bubua was 15 years old, his Daddy had him since he was born.

NO! I don't even open the window. She is a small dog and she can fit through more gaps then bigger dogs. Its a rule not to let her. She LOVES it but it wayyyyyyyy to dangerous and make me and my family nervous.

Snuggles loves it!! I only let her do it when I am holding on tight! I do not let her go for anything! Not on the highway though. just when we are on normal speeds. But she is good about these things. She is a dog that has the sense not to jump from tall heights! and she is so spoiled that she whines and begs whenever the window is not open!

I don't allow my yorkies to put their heads out the windows (they're WAY too small and could easily fall out) but my french mastiff does. There's no way he could even fit out the car window, so there's no danger in it... He LOVES it with his big ole' jowls flappin in the wind
