Good and bad news about the peacocks!

The bad news is that some eggs have come up missing and we have no idea where they went. She nested on a shelf (out in the barn) where she and the eggs were surronded and protected by a few different items that would prevent them from moving (much more, rolling off!). There are no broken shells or bodies or anything anywhere. In fact, there is almost nothing (save for the good news) period. As she was always sitting on them, I do not believe that anything got to them. Perhaps she moved them?

The good news is that there *was* one egg left and it has hatched! The little baby is so freakin' adorable I could just hurl! He or she is only two days old (counting today and yesterday) at the most. Hopefully pics will be taken tomorrow! Thats sooo.. great one has hatched I can't wait too see some pics how long do peacocks live again I think its to 7 years or so right?

Well, I am not too knowledgeable about birds. They are my Father in law's and that is the only suggestion that he could give.

Hmmm. I can't wait to take the pictures! The babe reminds me of a little chicken! I was doing some research on peacock life span and I've seen anywhere from 15-30 years (in captivity, less for wild) so far. FIL has had his older female for about seven or eight years, the older male is a couple of years younger, and the younger male and female were just born around this time last year.
