Looking on the funny side of disaster

Today I found that the side of the sofa had been sprayed on and had to get some Nature's Miracle onto it somehow. It's 7' long, the height of my ceiling, so I can't put it on end. I heaved up one side onto a chairback and slapped a soaked cloth on the sprayed end. Then I had to go through a major rigmarole of getting Macduff into isolation and came upstairs feeling tired and grim. However, here is what I found in my living room to make me smile.

That's Blackberry and his friend Raven up there, completely happy on their slanted perch.

I bet they never sleep on the couch either -- there's something about making it different that draw their attention!

I expected them to climb all over it, and they did, but I didn't expect them to settle on it. As I was getting ready to go to bed, I found Dallas under it.

This makes me cringe because I know how heavy it is and that it's only resting on a chair back. Time to take it down for the night, I think.

Too True! All three of mine seem to think a surface more entertaining if its at an odd angle...
