    Tiger outsmarts Dad!

I have a sliding window that is used also as a cat door. Since most of my indoor females have been spayed, there has not been the usual clamour to get outside. However, Tiger has figured out a way to get the window open even if it has a limiting stick in the slide track. Apparently, she has figured out that if she removes the stick with her paw, and then nudge open the window, she can get outside. Smart kitty! Now I will have to come up with another method to keep the window/door partially open and yet keep her and the others inside, especially at night.

    What a SMART kitty!

I have a thing (don't know if there is a name).........it's a metal pin on a chain. You drill a hole for the pin through the sliding glass door frame where you want the door to stop. Got it at Home Depot I believe.
Mine is actually at the 'all-the-way-shut' point, because my hubby used to work nightshifts, and I wanted the security.
I would imagine you could have more than one place(s) to stop it at.

yorkster, This is about what I have come up with, that which you mentioned. I just havn't thought about it enough to come up with something better. Since I have been feeding Tiger Nutra Cal, she has really come alive with activity, also her mental agility is increased. I got up at 2 AM this morning to feed her and myself, ( by putting some Nutra cal in her food). Since that time she has been going "crazy" , running through the house and carrying on, while the others were TRYING to sleep.
