    Camera Questions

I've had my camera for like 2+ years, and I still don't know some things about it because I'm to lazy to look it up, so could someone please tell me what the:

EV setting its? You can change it from -2.0EV to +2.0 EV. .. . what is this for?

    and

ISO setting. . ? you can have it on Autu, 100, 200, or 400. .. ? what is this for?

    Thank you!

EV is basically the exposure. If you're in a dark place, you want to set the number higher. If its brighter you want to set it to a negative number. In neutral conditions, leave it at 0

The ISO is the shutter speed, more or less. In darker conditions (night time, etc) set it to a higher ISO to let in more light. For action shots, set it to a lower ISO.

The only problem with using higher ISOs is that the shutter is open longer so it makes more noise on the picture. So I usually always have mine on 50 or auto.

the 100,200,400 is like in manual cams, if you have a film 100 ISO it "burns" with light so its used for outdoors and 400´s "burn" with less light so can be used indoors, but not sure if its the same in digis, also when using a 100 if you enlarge yo can see like dots, because "burning dots are bigger in 100´s" and in 400´s you can enlarge and dont see them cause they are smaller.............

^ Isn't that basically "noise" though??

When I use a higher ISO, I get more noise in my pictures, so I don't tend to use higher ISO unless I'm shooting like, lightning or something.
