Oh my goodness. i was at home alone this weekend while the rest of my family visited my dad's side of the family for father's day. (I had to work) I was watching the news and i saw that someone in their area had fallen down a mountain and had been airlifted to hospital. I thought to myself, "Wouldn't it be weird if i knew the person?". Well, my parents just got home and told me that it was this guy i know craig. He is my aunty's brother and he is a real sweetie. He is going to go into surgery as he crushed one of his vertebrae. Ironic since he is a chiropractor. He is a christian, (as am i) so i am sure he would appreciate your prayers. He is in a serious condition. Thanks.

First of all, thank you for your continued thoughts...
Just got a call from my dad that my grandfather tried commiting suicide last night.
He has been in and out of the hospital since May for mental related illnesses. Yesterday he was released from the hospital and allowed to go home. BIG MISTAKE, he is in NO shape to go home.
Last night while my grandmother was sleeping my grandfather took all of his pills. He started vomiting and that is what saved him.
My grandmother got up this morning, without knowing what happened, and called my aunt asking what happened to all of the pills (my aunt had filled the day pill container thing yesterday.) Thats when they figured out he took all of them.
I'm really not sure what to think. I really wish he would just get better.
Please keep the family in your thoughts.
Oh how sad! We will keep him in our prayers still, and more intensely.
Kay Ann, how horrible for you. It must make you incredibly sad.
Yes, Karen is right - we need to crank up our prayer power for your Grandpa and also your Grandma.
More prayers for your Grandparents & family, Kay.
And prayers for Clarke's family, and Meagan's. I hope she recovers completely, her family has been through so much tragedy.
Continued prayers for your grandparents Kay.. Prayers again for all those hurting, suffering and in need.
Certainly, grief is the price we all pay for love.

Two months ago (#883) I asked for prayers for my brother-in-law who had been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. Ramon passed away overnight. Please continue saying prayers for his family. They're greatly needed.
Thank you,
Crystal

Goodbye, Oreo. 4/17/2003 - 9/12/2011. Gone too soon.
Thanks everyone.
He is doing well. I'm not sure what his emotional state is but he is stable. Turns out he is really lucky. He took the wrong pills - he took his morning pills which mostly consist of calcium and vitamins. It still made him incredibly sick and his intentions were still there, but he is very, very lucky he didn't take his nighttime pills. Or I should say WE are lucky because he would be dead.
I hope I'm not selfish but I am not ready to say goodbye to him. I've never had someone really close to me pass away and I don't want to know how it feels. My uncle Joel passed but he lived on the other coast of the country so we weren't as close as my grandpa and I are.
At the same time it pains me because if that's what he wanted... I just wish he wasn't so unstable.
*SIGH* Is it bad of me to think like that?
(((hugs))) No, Kay, you're very normal. None of us wants to lose anyone we love.Originally Posted by Kfamr
Your are not a bad person for wanting him to live. Your grandpa is dealing with something gone wrong in his own head, and of course his behavior is frustrating & bewildering to everyone around him. We'll keep praying for him, and your family. This is a stressful time for all of you.
Kay and Crystal, I will have both of your families in my prayers. Crystal, I hope you BIL didn't suffer in the end. That is a viscious form of cancer.
Prayers for all of you.
Logan
