That's great news! You're doing such a great job.
I was at the shelter both days this weekend. TONS of kittens!! 4 ferals that I worked with that are about 8-10 weeks old. The loudest one was the first one to purr. I wish I could get to the shelter during the week, but I get out of work at 4:30 and it closes at 5.
When I got there this morning, Courtney said "You HAVE to see this!!" I thought it wouldn't be good news. Well I was wrong. Someone had dropped off a trap while the shelter was closed with an itty bitty black kitty in it. Can't be more than 4 weeks old. We put a warmed rice bag under a towel to warm him up and gave him canned kitten food with KMR mixed in it. He chowed down and then cried. I figured he was looking for his mama. So I made a sling out of a small dish towel, put him in it and attached it to my shirt with office clamps. Then I went about my business cleaning and feeding while he fell sound asleep.
It didn't dawn on me till afterwards that maybe I should've taken him home. I hope Courtney did. I'll feel awful if anything happens to him.
