    Precious Pepper!

Hi Pepper! Happy Dog of the Day!

What a beautiful, most precious Aussie Cattle Dog you are, sweetheart! Your trademark Aussie Cattle Dog coloring and markings are just gorgeous, as are those amazing, amber colored eyes! And true to your breed, you're just as smart as they come, though when it comes to that frantic herding instinct, that "need to work trait" and unbridled energy we so associate with your breed, you fall short, choosing rather to snuggle in your doggie bed, being on the receiving end of pets and belly rubs; a veritable couch potato!

She's the smartest of the many Blue Heelers I've owned. But she's not a frantic herding dog that needs a job to do. Instead, her happiness is to be inside with her humans, snuggled on her dog bed and getting up every 30 minutes and asking for a pet.
A couch potato, except for that occasional bout of "deviousness!"

The only time she uses her devious brain is when she's bored, breaks out of the backyard, explores the neighborhood and then waits at the front porch to be let back in. A lot of resources have been poured into the backyard to limit the escapes. But in the end, she has found her pack and always comes home.
    Like I said...smart, and devious!

I guess your family will never know how you came to find yourself homeless, roaming the streets so terribly injured! But blessedly you were rescued, given the vet care you so badly needed, finally finding your way to your forever family! And the rest is happy history! Not even your limp has kept you from enjoying every minute of life, your humans and doggie friends, to the max! Your indomitable spirit is truly an inspiration to us all!

Great thanks to your wonderful family for sharing your heartwarming backstory and all of those heart-melting photos with us! Meeting you has been a real treat! Hope you enjoy a very special day of celebration, Pepper, seeking new doggie friends to play chase with, cuddling with your humans, being loved and pampered to pieces! Lots of love and snuggles, smooches and belly rubs to you, precious Pepper, our very special and most deserving Dog of the Day, EVERY day!

    Such a beautiful girl!!!

Congratulations on being Dog of the Day.
What a beautiful little girl you are.
It's cute that you show your family who is boss by
escaping the back yard despite there best efforts.
In the end, you know where you belong.
    Celebrate your special day.

Dearest Pepper, you are adorable! What an adorable Australian Cattle Dog you are. You are so pretty in all those great photos. And you have the most delightful personality, too! You and your dear family members all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

Congratulations, darling Pepper, on being chosen today's Dog of the Day! We hope you and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats and maybe an extra-special belly rub!

    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

    Please protect Pepper

Pepper is most special; thank you for sharing her story. You. I've had success with a Dogtra. Also consider keeping her indoors, and donít let her unsupervised outside where she can escape. Previously I didn't think someone would want my dog until the local news this week:
