    Duke the Healer

Good morning, Duke! Happy Dog of the Day, beautiful boy!

If any pup is capable of healing a wounded spirit it's the beloved Golden, and you, sweetheart, are living proof of that. The love radiating from the soft brown eyes of yours, so soothing, that beautiful, warm smile of yours, so comforting! Dealing with anxiety and depression can be incredibly daunting, crippling; I know. But thanks to you, her ever faithful best friend and guide, your mommy's world is now a whole lot brighter, a whole lot bigger. How blessed she is, having a comforter and healer, a furry soulmate in you, Duke! And just as your mommy says, you love her every bit as much as she does you! What team! You truly are "girl's best friend," Duke, one in a million, and so very deserving of your big day of honor!

I swear those brown eyes can see right into my heart. He is not only handsome, but helpful, and definately a girl's best friend. I adore him, and know he loves me right back.
Heartfelt thanks to your dear mommy for sharing your heartwarming, inspirational story with us! Meeting you, seeing all of your utterly heart-melting photos, has made my day! I hope you and your mommy enjoy a very special Dog of the Day celebration, strolling peacefully in the woods or by the ocean, reveling in the love you share! Lots and lots of love, hugs and kisses to you, beautiful Duke, our very special and most deserving Dog of the Day, Dog of a Lifetime!

Dearest Duke, you are not only beautiful to see, you have the most beautiful soul, too! What a perfect therapy dog you are for your dear person. Your photos are delightful, especially the one of you and her together. You both love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

Congratulations, darling Duke, on being chosen today's Dog of the Day! We hope you and your dear person and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.

    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

Duke is outstanding, I am so grateful he is there for you. Clearly, there is no other place he'd rather be. Please forward a giant smooch and a hug from me!

    Therapy Dog

You could probably get him registered as an actual therapy/emotional support dog. Then you could take him anywhere! Some have abused this privilege, but your relationship sounds legit. We have a friend who has some emotional problems and has benefited greatly from having her dog— who accompanies her everywhere— certified. Good luck!
