CLIFTON, NJ: EXTREMELY SWEET, DECLAWED, SENIOR KITTIES IN CITY SHELTER NEED MEDICAL FOSTERING
Callie and Satie's owner passed away suddenly and unexpectedly a few days ago. The family signed them over to the Clifton Animal Shelter and paid the euthanasia fee. The shelter is a city-run shelter: space is very limited and the caring and dedicated volunteers at this shelter feel these cats deserve better. It is difficult for them to provide the medical care these special babies need, and they are also not there long enough hours to monitor them the right way. They are currently being kept in the cat isolation room in a run. Callie is a 15 year old neutered male and he was diagnosed with renal disease in 2009. He gets Sub-Q fluids every 3 days and gets mirtazapine 1/4 tablet every 3 days as well. He is a real trooper and comes right to you for his treatment. He is not up to date on his shots because of his kidney disease. Satie is a 13 year old spayed female, up to date on her shots, who has a history of asthma and gets 1/4 pill twice a day. They are also on K/D diet. The shelter currently has a volunteer who is a nurse and technician come in and give Sub-Q fluids to Callie but they know they are not able to do this long-term. The volunteers at the shelter are desperately seeking a foster home who would be able to provide the medical care and supervision these two special senior kitties need. They are willing and able to provide transport and a donation for their care.

I've been Frosted (thanks, Elyse and Karen!).
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
"Cats," he said eventually. "Cats are nice."
