    Sky Is Gone

Today I had to put my Sky down. His poor body was deteriorating before my eyes. If he had been a short haired cat, you would've seen nothing but skin and bones. He was with me for a little over 12 years and was at least 13 years old maybe older. He was such a happy friendly cat but as he became older, he became more sensitive to being touched especially his paws. He hadn't been doing well for a while now and I just kept putting off the inevitable. When I put him in the carrier, he didn't resist at all. Luckily, I don't need to make appointments for this kind of thing and my vet hospital even has a room where they do this and they take you back there right away so you don't have to wait in the lobby. The room has a comfortable couch and Sky was able to sit on it so it was more like being at home. Now he's pain free and at peace. I'll always love and miss you Sky. We'll meet again some day sweet boy.

Sky in his younger years. Looking very handsome. He sure was very photogenic.
