Note from me - "abandoned" wild babies aren't always abandoned. Usually mom has hidden them away while she forages and will come back later. Mama deer will return to their fawns in the evening. Before you rescue a wild "orphan", contact a local wildlife organization before you rescue.

A rescued baby cottontail bunny enjoys his milk from a rehabilitation center. As the information below the video says, “Wild animals that have been abandoned or need human help should always be in the care of a rehabilitator and are NOT pets. If you have found a wild baby bunny, refer to these guidelines before interfering!”
