    Bump

Stupid question of the day: what does BUMP (or bumpity) mean when it appears in a thread?
I've been Boo'd ... right off the stage!

Aaahh, I have been defrosted! Thank you, Bonny and Asiel!
Brrrr, I've been Frosted! Thank you, Asiel and Pomtzu!

Just to bump it up, so that it appears first. Threads are listed in order of most recentally posted in. So bump bumps it to the top of the list.

I think it stands for Bring Up My Post
Basically it means to bring up your thread to the top of the forum, or that particular forum.

    a question to everybody:

do you delete your BUMP post after somebody has replied?
I tend to do it because the BUMP has served its purpose and no longer useful for anybody anyway

    thanks k9krazee for the signature!
