OMG. When I read this I thought you were kidding. But he really did die! I loved that guy when he played with the Dodgers. That's sooo sad.

P.S. On a light note, I also had a crush on Steve Sax.

Coco Crisp made a wonderful catch tonight against the Mets!

    the Pirates WON!

Pittsburgh finally ended their 13 game losing streak with a 7 to 6 victory over the Chicago White Sox. Way to go!

    Coco's catch was awesome!!!

I wish I could go to a Red Sox game. Ever since they won the World Series, it's impossible to get tickets.

Wow, the Indians are sucking it up right now.

18 games behind the lead with 3 teams to overtake before getting there. 3!

    This isn't our year either.

RICHARD, great home run derby! Five homers went into the Allegheny river on the fly! I think Pittsburgh did a great job in hosting the home run derby and the All Star game. It's a beautiful city. Now if the Pirates can start winning some ball games. . . .

Poor Paul, we were out for a late dinner and the game was on, behind his head on a big-screen TV. So I kept updating him on the progress, not that he cares even a smidgen about baseball, and then had to explain as the place errupted with that game-ending Dave Ortiz classic. Go, Big Papi! And I even loved him explaining to the eager reporter that he was just doing his job, in a pretty low-key but polite and happy way.
