Thats good, i'm glad to hear it.
how is everything turning out?
Lizzy gets like that.. crazy phycho full of energy.. low maintance.. ankle tag along.
People always told me..every puppy is recommended at least one obedience class... this gets them associated with new things. If you just got your puppy.. he might be how lizzy was 2 weeks ago.. very...
When he was a puppy...was he the same way? He might just be having a hard time adjusting to everything and very unsure of it. That might be part of the reason but just give him more time to adjust....
Well my family prefers females but i'm not sure why. I think the dogs themselves depend on how easy they are going to train and how active they are. My friend has a cocker spaniel female and she...
I have which it is getting a little better. Key word: little. I really don't see her problem with men. she always eliminates with them around.. my dad keeps calling her a lesbian.
Your welcome.
That's Lizzy's schedule too! (10-5:30) I hate that submissive eliminattion thing. Everyone was telling me not to take her to petco or classes until she is fully vaccinated. - they...
thats good.
She doesn't pee for around me or my mom.. or really any female.. Just males. She is weird like that. I hope she grows out of it because i'm the only one in the house that has patience...
It also depends on the dog because i do the "OWWWW thing" and all Lizzy does is does it more because she thinks i'm playing. The ignoring her after saying NO and everything really does work for her...
Lizzy is 3 months old and is a spaneil/ shetland sheep dog. I know she isn't a cocker mix but i think she may be springer. (she was a stray so they didn't know for sure)
Thats it? .. what else did she say :(
*dramatic 15 minutes* lol
i think it was a snickers.. so long ago.
My dad's dog once had an entire snickers bar after jumping up the table. (this was like 7 years ago) he was completely fine. it sure wasn't good for him but it didn't killl him (even tho this dog...
I got my puppy last week and she has the submissive elimination problem too. A tip to help that we are working on is when you get home... ignore the puppy for like 5 minutes and do what you need to...
If it was chocolate or he looks sick and really not acting himself.. take him to the vet. If he is just lazy.. he could just be having "one of those days". Did ya give him a lot of exercise or...
just make sure you don't spray it on your puppy! i was trying to my ankle once and i got part of her paw..lets just say she had a nasty shock when she licked her own paw lol.
yeah, as weird as it...
For the biting you, get bitter apple spray. We have a few cracks in the tiles in the kitchen and my new puppy tried eating it. We spayed it down and she doesn't try anymore. Same goes for our ankles....
So there might be a chance she will never grow out of it?
Anyoen else?
my puppy is a very good example of "submissive elimination" She doesn't do it for me... but for almost everybody else. So i had a few questions for anyone who ever had a puppy.
1. Did your dog do...
