We have fostered and transported several danes, but we don't have any ourselves.

We have four cats, and three litter boxes (we only recently added the third box). I clean the litter boxes once per day. We use Tidy Cat Scoopable litter.

Of our pets, one was a rescue, 4 were adoptions, and one was the rescue's baby (she was supposed to be spayed :rolleyes: ).

I am not sure about cats, but in dogs "mounting" can also be part of dominance. Maybe Ripley is trying to make sure of his place in the dominance tree.
