Ella
Here is a photo of our beloved, Ella, who passed away in 1989. We adopted Ella from the SPCA in 1975. He was an 8-week old kitten. That's right - HE! He was a tiny boy and we were told he was a female. Needless to say, we found out that we had a boy and decided to just keep his name as Ella. Ella was a polydactyl with extra toes on the front and back. He was a lovely, sweet boy. Our children were born in 1976 and 1979 and Ella was their
good friend. He was a large cat but did not have a mean bone in his body. We took in his friend, Patty, a stray, and Patty just worshipped him. He would lie in the sun in the bay window and Patty would plop down on top of him. He would just move over. We have pictures of Patty with her paw around him. Our boy passed away in 1989 as a result of a tumour. We buried him in the back garden. Every time we look toward the back yard rock garden, we think of our Ella.
