So sorry for y’all’s loss Karen. Stay safe in the storm babe.
Sorry so late, today's Dog, Cat and Pet are up!
Karen, were you hit hard by that storm they were talking about on the news?
Sending loads of good wishes that you and all have been keeping safe. Take care!

I know that I may be reprimanded for saying how exquisite Oreo is,awsome COTD!!! Sorry if I’m in the incorrect spot, xoxo love you Karen and all the PT peeps
You can comment on him in his thread here ...
http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=195073 - as his person describes him as an Oreo cat, but his name is Puddin'!
And yes, phesina - we lost power for a few hours Saturday, and it was then very cold, with a bitter fierce wind and snow, while folks at the base of the mountain just got rain!
Sorry I have not yet gotten today's Pet, Dog and Cat up! Today was every stranger than a typical Monday in Covid time, and we got more packages on the afternoon stuck than the morning, and even some on the evening truck - which is just supposed to pick up outgoing mail! Over 110 packages - and we are a tiny Post Office! As it is so late in the day, I will update them to be tomorrow's honorees. Sigh.
Today's Cat and Dog of the Day are up, and Pet are up now.
Dagnabbit - another busy, busy day - gilt my flu shot, but anyway, will not be able to get the pets up until much later tonight. Sigh. Sorry, folks!
Today's Dog, Cat and Pet are finally up!
Crazy day again, sorry everyone.
Sorry folks, I will update the sites at midnight, it has been a busy day, and the predators must be close, as Lulu keeps wanting in then out to go chase them off. She is our warrior princess.
Today's Pet, Dog and Cat are up! I am off to the last Craft Show before Christmas, wish me luck!
Best wishes with the Craft Show, Karen!

Thanks, it was very quiet, not many people came, so low sales. A cold, grey day, and maybe not enough publicity, but I was there anyway!
Today's Dog, Cat and Pet of the Day are up!
So busy today, more than a 120 packages in, and probably 30-40 outgoing! So sorry, folks, I will update the pets for tomorrow. I still have work to do for today, even correcting mistakes I know I made in the rush!
Another busy busy day, but finally today's Cat, Dog and Pet are up!
Today's Cat, Dog and Pet of the day are up!
Just set my computer up for the frst time since last night. We got somewhere over two feet of snow last night into this mprning and throughout the day, and I have been unable to even get to the Post Office, as my car battery is dead, a neighbor who was going to jumpstart my car had to leave before we were sufficiently shoveled out, and so I am (still) awaiting AAA. So I will not be updating the pets today, but will for tomorrow. Literally the snow was over my knees when I first went out to shovel this morning, and another foot fell after that! So sorry everyone.
Good grief! Keep safe, Karen and all!

Crazy day - most packages ever at our little Post Office, but the Dog, Cat and Pet of the Dy are finally up¡
So sorry, everyone! Today;s Do, Cat ad Pet of the Day are up at last!
Oh dear - another usy day, and now I have the last Ceramics studio before Christmas to go to. I will update the pets for tomorrow late tonight, okay folks? Such an emotional rollecoaster of a time, an so many packages, but at the least we are getting things to people in time for Christmas!
Exhaustion overtook me last night, but I promise there will be new honorees for Christmas and the Days beyond. Love you all, my apologies and thanks for your patience.
Christmas Day! The Dog, Cat and Pet of the Day are up!
Dagnabbit - it's so late in the day, I will just post today's Pet, Dog and Cat of the Day for tomorrow's honorees at midnight. I slept until nearly noon today, and have been behind ever since. Sorry everyone. This has really been an exhausting month on so many levels.
But everyone here is healthy, and safe, and for that we are grateful.
Today's Dog, Cat and Pet of the Day have been up since the wee hours of the morning. And I fixed an error on Angus's page!
Today's Pet, Dog, and Cat of the Day are up!
Just learned of the death of a younger friend (maybe 50 years old, but younger than me, and a mom of school-age kids) who died suddenly of a heart attack. Call loved ones, tell them they are loved.
Dear Karen, I'm so sorry about your friend. My deepest sympathy to you and her family and friends and all who love her and grieve her and will miss her. Hugs to all.

Thank you, I am sorry about not posting today's pets, but I will post them tomorrow.
Today's New Year's Dog, Cat and Pet of the Day are up at last!
And well worth the wait!:D:p;) Happy New Year Karen, and everyone!!!
Thanks, Sandra - and Happy New Year - and good pickled herring - to you, too! That was always a tradition growing up - open and share the little jar - on ryekrisp - of my grandfather's special pickled herring recipe. One of Dad;s regrets in life was not getting that recipe from him before Grandpa died.
(Now I am allergic to fish and couldn't have any anyway, but I can still think of it wistfully!
Today's Cat, Dog and Pet of the ay are up!
The sursild (pickled herring) along with the gravadlax (cured salmon with mustard/dill sauce) were/are my favorites on the julbord! I remember, as a child, going with my father to the (then) predominantly Scandinavian immigrant NYC neighborhood where we once lived, where I was born, Bay Bridge, Brooklyn, to shop at the local butcher, baker, fishmonger, grocery store for the traditional Christmas foods, supplies. The whole herrings were stored in a big, wooden barrel at the back of the store. Back then you had to fillet them yourself. Now you can buy them online, all cleaned and filleted, ready to prepare. Sadly, most Scandinavians have left Bay Ridge so much of the shopping is done online now, not to mention having to make so many of the dishes myself. A lot of work, considering my parents and only sibling are no longer with us, all my remaining family back in Norway and Sweden, the only guests being just Junji and myself. Still, just can't let go of the traditions.:p
That's too bad, you being allergic to all fish, not just the common allergen, shellfish! Should you ever have need, I have several excellent pickled herring recipes, really very simple with only slight variations: White vinegar, water, sugar, whole black peppercorns, whole allspice and mustard seed boiled then cooled. Throw in the sliced pieces of herring and top with thinly sliced red onion and tons of fresh dill. 2 days in the frig and voila! Now, why am I writing this at 6 a.m.?:D
So sorry folks that I have not been able to get the pets posted today! I will do so, I promise. Life has been just crazy today, no surcease now that it is January as one had (faintly) hoped.
