This is the anniversary of the beginning of our websites. Today begins the 25th year of PetoftheDay.com - Paul and I started it on September 1, 1997. And a year later, Dog and Cat got their own pages!

I am sorry I have been tardy getting the daily sites up some days, and missed others entirely, and have been wholly inconsistent, and thank you all for your patience with me.

Life in Vermont is wonderful, and busy, and full of animals, bu of course these websites are still of paramount importance! It is part of Paul's legacy on this earth, after all.

Please help keep the sites alive - nominate your pets, and tell friends to do so as well! I love carrying on the path we set out, to bring people a new reason to smile every day, and to celebrate pets, people, and the love and relationships between them.

So sorry for the lack of updates, everyone. i will work on getting the sites updated today.

Everyone is alive and Kermit is slowly recovering his strength, but tends to overdo it, and be exhausted the following day.

I am so sorry, folks, that I have not been able to update the sites daily as I used to do, especially before Paul's death.

I will get back to it again tomorrow, please tell folks to nominate their loved pets, cats and dogs! There have been continuing adventures on the farm, baby chicks hatched over the weekend - Silkie Mama for most of them, and she incubated them al, even if they were not her eggs.

Snow, then sleet, then rain today, so I am on my second pair of socks for the day. Thank goodness there's the thrift store upstairs from the Post Office.

Life has been crazy busy, but all is relatively well. We almost lost one of our Shagga Birds - an eared pheasant, but it looks like he's gonna make it, and the aviary that he has been supposed to be moving in to is finally 90% done, and hopefully we will finish it this weekend or soon anyway.

Sadly that bird, Henry Earl, did not survive. His bird wife Juniper is mourning him, but was with him when he died.

Crazy busy day today, and not over yet!

Oh dear, things are still crazy crazy busy - and now a big storm - which likely has hit many of you already.

Huge ongoing storm, and we kept losing power down here every time I started working on the websites. I will hopefully update them tomorrow morning, though the storm will continue overnight so we will see what happens.

Stay warm and safe, everyone.

The animals knew a storm was coming, Wilhelmina the emu is in the sunroom just off the kitchen for the duration, no one wants to be out in this stuff.
