I haven’t seen any new ones since last week.
Sorry, I will be updating the sites today. I had a bad food reaction that Kermit worries was actually COVID, and am getting a COVID test today just to be certain.
So basically the weekend was too busy, then I spent Monday puking, and Tuesday sleeping and driving to get a self-administered "instant" COVID test that is not "instant' after all, and isolating. When I have one of those reactions, it is exhausting. Kermit's fears are not unreasonable - we were at a wedding Saturday evening where there we many (proudly?) unvaccinated people, and the reception was a potluck, which is always a minefield for someone like me, who has many food allergies and intolerances. Apparently I was not careful enough.
Wishing you all the best, Karen...

Thrilled to hear it wasn't COVID!!!:cool::cool: That said, food reactions/puking is not fun. But the "good news" (if you can call it that) is you had someone to hold your head!;) Seriously, just hope you're back to 100% soon! Take your time with the "pets," Karen. Health comes first!
Sadly, I did all my puking at work, in the Post Office bathroom. Alone - and glad of it. I had a haircut before the funeral on the 16th, and while it is still long when wet, it is even curlier, so didn't hang in "the way" of anything!
I am so sorry everyone, I got interrupted again, and now it's so late, I will make the pets that were to be today's honorees tomorrow's, and get them up tonight. Consider the Dog of the Day icon a foretaste.
So glad it wasn't COVID! Karen, take it easy, get nice and rested up. Kitties and I hope you are feeling better and back to 100% soon.
I'm with Sandra: Take your time with the pets, Karen. Your health comes first!

Today's Dog, Cat and Pet of the Day are now up!
Thank you, folks, for not giving up on me.
I still do not have my COVID test results, though feel pretty normal.
Today's Cat, Dog, and Pet of the Day are up!
Oh, and I am COVID negative!
Lulu is feeling better every day, but it is a long recovery ahead.
COVID negative, congratulations, Karen! That's wonderful news!
Must be such a relief for you!!!

Today's Dog of the Day is up, as is today's precious Cat of the Day and Pet of the Day.
Life has been unbelievably difficult these past few days - animals are all good, no worries there, it's all strictly human stuff.
Because I got today's honorees posted so late, I will also make them tomorrow's - just changing the day and date on the page.
Last evening my computer screen gave up the ghost. I am now working on what had been Paul's computer, and trying to get everything updated, etc. Please forgive the tardiness, I am struggling with all this, on top of everything else.
Folks, another difficult day, I am going to skip today, and endeavor to get the sites updates for tomorrow.
Karen, please take your time to relax and get some rest and energy! You have had an awful lot going on for you lately. Take good care of yourself and Kermit and Lulu and all your family now.
We're sending loads of loving good wishes and warm healing energies your way.
And we'll wait for Pet Talk, whenever it gets back!

Last night we had a horrible scare with Dusky - he was suddenly unable to walk, and was crying in pain all night. A trip to the Emergency Vet again, we were very worried.
It turns out he has Lyme disease, which may have been lurking in his system for a while now, as he has a flea collar, and has been dewormed, etc., flea(and tick) sprayed, and our yard is pretty tick-free because of the guinea fowl. But at least that is curable, and he's on meds now. Poor lovey pup!
I promise I will updates the sites tomorrow. So sorry, everyone.
Loving good wishes and prayers and warm healing energies are being sent from us for dearest Dusky, that he heals up safely and comfortably. Be well soon, sweet pup! Karen, please give him some extra gentle pets and lovies from me (and some treats if he likes them right now, too).
:love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love:
Thank you, I drove through the remnants of Ida to get him from the hospital last night. They were all sad to see him go, as everyone fell in love with him.
He had gotten the Lyme vaccine, but not the booster shot, so that's how it snuck through. The clinic said they are seeing a lot right now, there was an elderly Golden Retriever in the same shape as Dusky when he was admitted.
When I left this morning, Dusky and Lulu were both sleeping comfortably on Kermit. Lulu was sooooo glad to see Dusky when he hopped in the car last night!
Thanks for the update, Karen! SO happy knowing Dusky's Lyme is treatable!!! Rest easy and get well soon, precious Lulu and Dusky!!!:love::love:
Good to hear you were spared the horrific flooding and tornadoes that devastated the Northeast last night, Karen. We received, non-stop, 3 hrs of blaring tornado warnings/"take cover" alerts on our phones last night; spent 3 hrs in a walk-in closet with JT and the furkids, 12 a.m.-3 a.m. We received 4 inches of rain in one hour, 7 inches total. 15 already confirmed dead NYC and NJ due to the flooding. And a huge F3-4 wedge tornado hit south Jersey, leveling huge homes. Unbelievable.:(
He jumped up opn me when I went home for lunchtime, so he is back to being himself!
Today's Dog and Cat of the Day are up! Pet will be up later, I have to make a run to town before the store closes at 6!
Today's Pet, Dog and Cat are up - for Dog and Cat I just changed the honorees I posted last night to today's.
Thank you for your patience and support. Lulu is better enough that we had to corner her on my bed to give her her morning dollop of peanut butter containing pills! And we have not lost a single bird to predators since she has been home.
You can tell a cattle dog/pointer mix to take it easy, but that has about effect as telling the sun not to rise!
Today's Cat, Dog and Pet of the Day are up! Sorry, another busy day.
Today's Dog and Cat of the Day are up! As is today's Pet of the Day! Busy couple of days, still dealing with ripples from August. But a lovely day today nonetheless/
Today's special Pet, Dog and Cat of the Day are up!
Dagnabbit - busy day again today folks, I will endeavor to update the sites tonight for tomorrow.
Our donkeys are now at a friend's farm in Northern Vermont who has female donkeys - as our guys are father and son, we are sure they will be happier there for now.
And some of our geese went to Ariel as well - we have happy, healthy geese who raise goslings every year, so we are back to a good number for our size farm, and she will have the bug patrolling, predator alarm raising flock of her own. We now have two Emus from her! I promise pictures of them soon, when daylight and my schedule permit.
Today's Dog, Cat and Pet of the Day are up!
Note to all: Baby water buffalos - no matter how big they get - do NOT like thunderstorms.
I know you are all expecting this, but it is Farmer's Market today, so I will not be able to update the sites, but will promise to do so for tomorrow.
Today's Fabulous Dog of the Day, Cat of the Day and Pet of the Day are up!
Sorry about yesterday. But today's Pet, Cat and Dog of the Day are uppity up!
Today's Dog, Cat and Pet of the Day are up!
And in our news, the donkeys are coming home this evening, as they were unhappy up there.
The donkeys never made it home last night, but hopefully will be home soon.
Today's Dog, Cat, and Pet of the Day are now up!
Rain and thunder and lighting outside, but that's a relief, as the day got very hot and humid rapidly this morning!
Today's Special Cat, Dog and Pet of the Day are up!
Today's special Dog, Cat and Pet of the Day are up!
So sorry folks, busy day today, I will update the pets later tonight for tomorrow.
And I promise Emu pictures as well. Their names are Winston and Wilhelmina, and they are now very friendly!
So sorry folks, but today's Pet(s) of the Day, Dog of the Day and Cat of the Day are now up!
It has been so busy lately on the farm, my apologies.
All is well, just busy.
And this afternoon we - and 12 other towns, unexpectedly lost power mid afternoon for quite a while, further delaying getting the sites up. It was a brilliantly sunny day, but windy ... so who knows, maybe tree limbs came down, bringing power lines with them.
Dagnabbit - another busy day, everyone's okay, but I will not have chance to update the sites until later tonight, so I will make them Thursday's honorees.
So sad, an older friend who adopted one of our kittens now has to move where he cannot take her with him, so I am working on finding her a new home. She's over a year old now, and it is breaking his heart to give her up, but his eyesight is failing, and he cannot stay where he is any more. He has macular degeneration in both eyes.
Oh, I'm so sorry for your friend, Karen, and his kitten, too.
:love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love:
So sorry everyone. Today has been exceedingly stressful and difficult, and certains situations (involving humans, not the animals) are still not resolved. I hope to get the pets updated tomorrow.
