Do you use your ignore option on PT?
Absolutely NOT, no have never needed to and don't think i will ever in the future, everyone here is just tooo.....nice. :D
Thats how I feel. And if someone were ever not nice, I just brush it off as a bad day or the like. Everyone deserves a second chance. lolQuote:

I don't see a reason to. If a person was that rude, I would report them to Karen. People have their bad days, so you shrug it off and wait for an apology. lol
Haven't used it yet, but not saying I wouldn't if someone kept harrassing me or being rude.
There is one person on my ignore list who would not quit harrassing me when I asked to be left alone/not to have contact with that person. Other than that if I don't care for someone's posts I just don't read them.
I have used it before but I don't use it anymore. :)
Never used it...and don't plan on it!
Me too. :)Quote:

I never thought I would have to use it but I had to stop myself from having a huge argument by putting someone on my ignore list and they are still there.
I have a question though ... if you put someone on your ignore list does that just make them unable to contact you or can you also not read their posts?
I haven’t used it yet. Hopefully I won’t need to. But I do have a question, if you put someone on your ignore list, do they stop pming you or stop pming you and you don’t see their post
EDIT- I just posted and then saw .Sarah post.
Like Kay, I have one person on my ignore list. I have no interest in hearing what this person has to say. Everybody else, I love dearly and will never be on my ignore list, ever!
Willie :)
I use it, but I have only 2 people on it, who ideas and mine are polar opposites on every single issue, I have them on my ignore list to avoid getting myself riled up.
If you have someone on ignore, it still shows that they post, and you still receive messages from them, but it just says "message from USENAME. This person is on your blocked list. Unblock" or something similar, then there is a link for you to read the message.Quote:

Otherwise any other time I've ever had a problem with anyone we've worked it out privately. I REALLY respect members who can talk to me privately if we ever have any problems regarding each other, or a misread post!
Just tried it out :D this is what shows up when somebody posts...
"This message is hidden because USERNAME is on your ignore list."
I think of exactly the same, I would never use one... ever.Quote:

Never used it, hoping to never need to :D But I know it's a possibility as I came close to using it on someone who was harrassing me - but that person finally left me alone.
Never used it.
Long ago, when I was learning how differnt things worked, I tried it out of curiosity. I placed 1 person on it. At the time, I really DID hate to read this person's posts. But I found that I was simply too nosy NOT to read them. LOL
I would probably only use the feature to prevent PM harrassment.
Haven't yet but I would if I had to
never have, i just prefer to ignore the posts/threads if i really dont like someone, but everyone here is soo sweet!!
That would be my problem! I'm a very nosy person :pQuote:

Nope, I have not used it. I don't plan on using it either.
I was ON the verge of using it when someone called my dog ugly through private message. But now I can just brush it off and ignore the person. I am thinking of using it at the moment because I feel I am not getting my proper respect from a member as I am giving them. But I am leaning more towards no and willing to give them JUST one more chance.
OMG, that's horrible! I forgot if I posted or not, but I have one person on mine, and every time someone quotes them and I read it, I think, "I really rather I had not read that." so I keep them on there
   What's wrong with their eyes!?!?!?Quote:

What? Something's certainly wrong with that person - I agree with CathyBogart - something's wrong with their eyes :eek:Quote:

Anybody that thinks any dog is ugly is wierd in my opinion. But of course sassy is very cute and you must know that so obviously its jealousy or something so just ignore it.
Yeah, I told my mom and she said the same exact thing. I agree. Anyone who think ANY dog is ugly is weird.Quote:

What is WRONG with those people??!!!  ;) I think Sim, Ki, and Nala are some of the cutest dogs I've ever seen:)Quote:

Absolutely not. First, there is no easy button in real life. Second, if we pushed the button on somebody like Bill Clinton (for a recent famous figure whom many people had issues with) we'd miss out on a lot of good things too. Not only that, but don't you want to keep tabs on what people you hate have to say?
The ignore features remind me of hurricane Katrina. My roommate didn't like seeing about it so she changed the channel and acted like it wasn't there. What do people matter if they are out of sight? That's the ignore button.
Now for the IM's I get from people I don't know, I minimize them. They don't pop up in front of my webpages but I can still have access to them.
:eek:ARE YOU KIDDING???!???! Can you say "eye doctor"? Simba, Nala, and Kiara are all cute and nothing will ever change that! I especially love Simba. I don't know why. But he is awesome.Quote:
