I think I found my wedding ring *pics*

I knew from the get-go that I wanted sapphires in my wedding band. (My favorite color is blue and he proposed in September)

So when Andy and I went looking for just the right wrap/enhancer, we were adament about the sapphires.

Many of the designs we saw had all diamonds but most could have diamonds taken out and replaced with sapphires.

Then at Kay Jewelers we found a setting that was already set with diamonds and sapphires and I knew it was the one.

They sized it to my finger and I have 90 days to decide if it's still "the one". (I'm 100% positive it is while Andy tries to not freak out over the price ;) :D )

So here it is.

What do you think?

I'll be picking up Kia tonight so she can give it a sniff for approval. :D

Both rings are seperate now, but will be sodered together prior to the wedding. They are meant to be worn together. A wrap is a ring with a gap in the center for the solitaire to fit into. So the engagement ring and wedding band connect and fit together. :) I hope I explained that clearly. :o

Kimmy, it is a gorgeous setting!!! :) I'm a bit partial to Sapphires and Diamonds together, myself. My engagement ring is a large, dark Sapphire, with a diamon on either side and I have thin, diamond wedding bands on each side of it, so I wear 3 rings. Mine are not connected, though.

You know that over here we don't have that engagement/wedding ring thing- we only have wedding rings that are simple identical bands. (And we had been living together so long (15 years) before we married we knew we wouldn't need a ring to keep us together- so we don't wear one.)

But my dad gave my mom a very beautiful ring before they were married and it was sapphires and diamonds. I inherited it when I got my university degree because it was too small for my mom and as the band was engraved you couldn't make it bigger easily and I gave it to my niece for her university degree :D

So I love sapphires and diamonds together and I am somehow sorry that here we don't wear two rings as you do. ;)

engagement & wedding rings were both diamonds & actually hooked
together when we were married.I wish I'd had the sodering thingie as
the two rings came apart too often.Wow, only 5 months till the big day
for you guys. :D
